On the evening of July 20th, the church of St Peter and St Paul, Heytesbury was filled with the deep rich sound of the cello as we were treated to an exciting selection of cello concertos performed by Yalda Davis, a young cellist from Suffolk.
She was not only talented but also engaging in creating a most magical evening. The church was full and many commented on the sheer pleasure of hearing the sound of the cello vibrating throughout the church. Peter Bennett, who introduced Yalda, mentioned that she had begun a project to perform in the 440 medieval churches in Suffolk in memory of her parents and friends.
We were thrilled that she had come to Wiltshire to perform for us.
